In 18th century France, salons were private gatherings to discuss and debate politics and the emerging sciences. Indeed, this was the Age of the Enlightenment.
Salons spread throughout Europe and evolved to include music, poetry, and discussions of art, literature and aesthetics.
The Solo Salon is a modern-day interpretation of these events — focusing on proud singles.
More than a networking event or singles mixer, The Solo Salon brings together people who are unapologetically unattached to connect, learn, and be entertained. Since half of singles are currently not interested in dating or a relationship, this is no dating event.
McGraw’s first public salon celebrated Singles’ Day (11/11). Between two social hours, guests the talents of Denver musician Bunny Blake, comedian Gabby Gutierrez-Reed, science communicator Shane Mauss, and Amy Gahran, the author of Stepping Off the Relationship Escalator.
